ServerWare™ Intel® Modular Server Share Lun License
Quick Overview
The Intel® Shared LUN provides additional storage capabilities that allow advanced clustering and virtualization applications on the Intel® Modular Server without the expense and complexity of configuring external SANs.
This software upgrade is activated by typing in the Intel® Shared LUN license key on Intel® Modular Server. The license key is generated with a unique paper pack ID# and system serial# at the Intel® Modular Server license key activation website.

Purchasing and activating Intel® ShareLun for IMS
Step 1.
Order “MFSLUNKEY” from your reseller or ServerWare™
Step 2.
Receive the Paper Pack ID
This is a physical piece of paper delivered to you
Step 3.
Find your midplane serial number
Log in to your MFSYS25 or MFSYS35
Click Chassis Back | CMM | Midplane
Note the midplane serial number
Step 4.
Obtain your license key from the Intel® License Key
Activation page, using the "Generate License Key"
option on the left side of the screen.
Step 5.
Copy your license key into the CMM under
Settings | Feature Activation
Step 6.
Select a Storage Pool, and select "Assign to multiple
servers"
